My hero

I think everyone has a hero, or at least someone he really worships. For me, that's Doutzen Kroes, the famous and DUTCH model.

Kroes was born on 23th January 1985, in the town of Oostermeer, in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. Her mother tongue is Frisian, rather than Dutch. You can still hear that when she gives a Dutch interview.
After graduating high school, she sent snapshots to modeling agency Paparazzi in Amsterdam, because she wanted to make some extra money before going to college.

In July 2007, earning a total of $1.5 million in twelve months, Doutzen became  fourteenth in the list of the World's 15 Top-Earning Supermodels. In April 2008, she climbed to the fifth position, with an income of $6 million per year.

I think it's pretty admirable that she actually created all of the succes herself, because she decided to send pictures of herself to a model agency.

I am a fan of her because I think she is not too skinny, unlike most models of this time, and besides that I think that she is not only pretty when she wears loads and loads of make-up, but also on pure nature pictures.

Dreams

There are some things I still want to do in life. Going to New York for example, is one of my biggest dreams. Last year, my parents went to New York, and I wasn't even aloud to join them :(
I really really would love to go there, I think it will be another culture shock, with all the lights, big shops, and of course the lively night life.

A few days ago I heard my parents talking about going to New York in the holidays, I really hope they will put it through...

Fall 2010

When I read a magazine, most of the time I want to hug it and buy everything that is pictured in it. But sometimes, I really don't understand anything of the trends that designer come up with.

For example, this fall the rugged high-heel boot is totally hot, but I think it's a disgusting trend...

My friend Dennis even says: 'If I would see someone walking in these shoes, I would laugh só hard!'

But there's more. This fall, oversized knitwear is one of the biggest trends on the catwalk...

Ok, I have to admit that I also own an oversized sweater, but mine is kind of cute. But for example this sweater is truly not something I would wear to school or when I go out. In my opinion, it looks like it is second-hand, and it once upon a time belonged to a goat herder, who slept, ate and lived in it.
Not really my kind of thing.
